Senator Gustavo Rivera, the Montefiore Health System, Health First and the Claremont Community Center hosted a Black History Month Celebration on Saturday, February 7 at the community center. The event celebrated and honored the African roots that have helped shape and influence the culture and history of African Americans by featuring live music and performances that resonate in both African and African American traditions.
