From a new sensory room for students who are visually or verbally impaired, to new benches and trees for park upgrades, south Bronxites traveled to polling sites around District 17 from Saturday, April 7 to Sunday, April 15 to vote on a number of community projects they want to see funded by the NYC Council. The annual process allows the community decide how to spend $1 million on community improvements through a one week voting process.
