Senator Jeff Klein; Shola Olatoye, NYC Housing Authority chairwoman; Assemblyman Marcos Crespo and Councilwoman Annabel Palma met with Sack Wern Houses residents to announce the delivery of hundreds of new refrigerators on Thursday, August 24. The upgrades were made possible after Klein secured $200,000 in funding for the more than 370 appliances. Partnering with Olatoye, the refrigerators were delivered and installed from Friday, August 25 through Friday, September 2. Every apartment in need received one.
