The Royal Coach Diner at 3260 Boston Rd. in the Bronx has officially closed, nearly five months after its owners announced it would be closing.

On July 20, the owners of Royal Coach Diner posted a letter on social media announcing that they would be shutting down and thanked the community for supporting their business. In the letter, they cited the COVID-19 pandemic, inflation and increasing costs as contributing factors for the restaurant’s closure.

The Royal Coach Restaurant was known for serving food and drinks that blended different cultures, reflecting the people living in the Bronx. The diner was among the participating restaurants in the 2022 “Taste of the District” event, which was held to highlight local restaurants and assist them in recovering from the effects of the COVID-19 pandemic.

While the Bronx location is now no longer open, the owners of Royal Coach are inviting people to come to their other restaurant in Brooklyn, the Lindenwood Diner, located at 2870 Linden Blvd.
