42nd PCT.

Friday, January 15, 10:40 p.m. — A suspect allegedly approached a 22-year-old as she was walking near Park Avenue and E. 173rd Street. The man pushed her to the ground and tried to grab her purse. The victim resisted and the male let go of the purse and fled.

46th PCT.

Thursday, January 14 at 10:40 p.m. — A man entered a wireless store at 2189 Grand Concourse and produced a gun, demanding money from two employees and a store customer. He fled on foot, into a subway station at East 182nd Street, with about $400 in cash. He is described as a male Hispanic between 30 and 40-years-old, roughly 5’3” and weighing about 175 pounds. He wore a black jacket, black ski cap, blue jeans and black sneakers.

Monday, January 18, 3:54 a.m. — Police responded to a 911 call of an officer in need of assistance at Creston Avenue and East 179th Street. After arriving, they determined that just minutes earlier three males approached an off-duty NYPD sergeant and the corner of East 178th Street and Creston Avenue and attempted to rob his cellphone. Upon discovering his shield, one of the suspects said, in Spanish, ‘shoot him, shoot him.’ One of the suspects had a gun. The sergeant drew his authorized firearm and shot one of the suspects in the torso. The other suspects fled on foot.

47th PCT.

Saturday, January 16, 7:20 p.m. — A group of men entered a barbershop at 3563 Boston Road and approached a male victim, demanding property. The victim resisted the robbery, and at that point one of the suspects punched him and another shot him one time in his right arm. EMS brought the victim to a local hospital where he was in stable condition.

52nd PCT.

Monday, January 18, 6:22 a.m. — Police responded to a 911 call of a sexual assault. Upon arrival police were informed by a 19-year-old female victim that on Sunday, January 17, a man threatened her at knifepoint and forced her to enter his vehicle. The suspect then drove the victim to an unknown location in Queens where he sexually assaulted her. The suspect drove the victim back and dropped her off at the location. The victim was transported to an area hospital for treatment.
