National Night Out Against Crime to bring community and police together on August 2

Now more than ever, National Night Out Against Crime is here to draw police and community closer together.

The 33rd Annual National Night Out Against Crime will take place across the country on Tuesday, August 2, with every police precinct in the borough planning recreational and information activities for community members at separate events across the diverse borough.

NYPD officials, elected officials and members of precinct councils are urging the community’s attendance at a raft of events taking place at different times and places on August 2.

“Come out,” urged a senior NYPD official. “(National Night Out) is for everyone to have fun.”

In previous years, National Night Out has included rides for children, food, games, giveaways and educational materials and demonstrations about what police do.
