M.S. 80 Students Debate Gentrification

M.S. 80 students debated the possible real world connections between gentrification and colonization.

After M.S. 80 students studied the NYS Social Studies Scope and Sequence UNIT 1: Native Americans, Early Encounters and Colonial Development on Wednesday, November 21, they debated whether gentrification is an urban form of colonization, if gentrification is progress or destruction and if people question morality when engaging in acquiring wealth and power.
