On Thursday, January 18, founders of the controversial Hope House NYC addressed Community Board 9 meeting at the Kips Bay Boys & Girls Club with supporters of their program also in attendance to try to get additional community support. The program is run out of a residential two family home in St. Andrews Village with the purpose of housing and helping assimilate formerly incarcerated women into society, but members of the community remain concerned over the location and legitimacy of the program.
