A one-alarm blaze tore through a 2-story house at 3550 E. Tremont Avenue in Throggs Neck at around 6:15 p.m. on Sunday, April 26.

Local activist Bailey Provetto is now holding a fundraiser for Rebecca Borrero, her son Dylan, and their dog, all of whom were displaced by the fire.

Provetto is starting a campaign for the victims on Facebook, and is collecting donations and gift cards.

Donations can be dropped off at St. Benedict’s Church at 2926 Otis Avenue. If you have any questions, call (917) 693-1133.
