The Corporation for National & Community Service bestowed the President Barack Obama Volunteer Lifetime Achievement Service Award to Dr. Esther Henry, founder and CEO of Inner City Gun Violence Prevention Incorporation on Saturday, September 19. The presentation took place at the Bronx Museum of the Arts. The award was presented in recognition of an individual’s efforts in educating the community about gun violence prevention.
