Bronxites can stop by for free chocolate chip cookies.
Crumbl Cookies announced Sunday that it’s opening a new location in Bay Plaza on Thursday, Aug. 29, and plans to hold a grand opening event at the store on Aug. 30.
The viral cookie shop will celebrate the grand opening on Friday with “Free Cookie Day,” offering customers who stop by a free mini milk chocolate chip cookie.
The Bronx Crumbl, which is opening at the Bay Plaza Shopping Center at 2276a Bartow Ave., will kick off its grand opening day event Friday at 11 a.m. where it will feature a DJ and giveaways.
Customers must download the Crumbl app to receive a free cookie while supplies last, according to Crumbl’s website.
Co-founders Jason McGowan and Sawyer Hemsley started their cookie empire in 2017 in Logan, Utah. Since then, Crumbl has dominated social media and expanded internationally as a franchise with over 800 locations that bake more than 1 million cookies each day.
In addition to in-store sales, the new Crumbl will offer delivery services and catering. Bronxites can expect to see cookie flavors rotate weekly. For example, customers can snag the current national weekly flavors like s’mores brownie, iced oatmeal, berries and cream and peanut butter blossom in Crumbl’s notoriously Instagrammable pink box. Check Crumbl’s website or Instagram for the weekly rotating flavors.
Crumbl will open its doors to the Bay Plaza store on Thursday for a “soft opening.”
The store will be open 8 a.m.-10 p.m. Monday-Thursday, with Fridays and Saturdays from 8 a.m. to midnight. It will be closed on Sundays.
