New York City Council Member Althea Stevens and her office hosted their annual holiday toy distribution on Friday, Dec. 20, at the District 16 Community Office, located at 1377 Jerome Ave.
Kids were able to pick up a gift of their choice and get their picture taken with Santa during this special event, which brought plenty of holiday cheer to residents who live within Stevens’ district.
Organizations that partnered with Stephens’ office to hold this event included the NYPD Community Affairs Bureau, the Bronx Community Foundation, CCA Metro and the New York City and Vicinity District Council of Carpenters.
Stevens represents the 16th Council District, which includes the Bronx neighborhoods of Concourse, Highbridge, Morrisania and Morris Heights.
