Bronx Hip Hop Day

This full-day event will bring together the masters of hip-hop, who will showcase graffiti art, breaking, hip-hop tunes, and more. Graffiti artists, original B-Boys, and DJs will all teach their craft to attendees in panels and performances. Free surprises will be available for attendees!

Starting and Building a Nonprofit Workshop

New York Public Library and Executive Director of the Center for Bronx Nonprofits Eileen hosts the third of five sessions on nonprofit creation. The five-part series familiarizes attendees with the nuts and bolts of building a nonprofit organization. This Saturday’s session will focus on understanding the basics of a 501(c). Take the initiative to forge the nonprofit of your imagination with NYPL and the Center for Bronx Nonprofits!

Hip Hop 51 “Walk This Way” March for Urban Health and Non-Violent Conflict Resolution

Celebrate hip hop’s 50th anniversary in the Bronx with the National Hip Hop Museum and The Temple of Hip Hop. The partners will team up with hip hop legends KRS-One, DMC, MC Lyte, Kurtis Blow, Master Gee and more to raise money for urban healthcare and non-violent conflict resolution. Participants in the march will trek from the birthplace of hip hop–Sedgwick Avenue–to Crotona Park; five DJ sets along the route promise to revive the original hip hop refrains.

5K Hip Hop Run

Whether a competitive runner or a weekend warrior, participate this Sunday in the Hip Hop Runzz. On this Hip Hop celebration day, run solo or with your tribe. Hip Hop Runzz’s path will take the 5K runners on a scenic cardio expedition through Soundview Park.
