Bronx Femme Run kicks off their monthly runs this August. The all-women fitness troupe plans to hit the pavement the first Friday of every month. Attendees can choose to walk, run-walk or run for varying distances. All fitness levels are welcome and no cardio enthusiast will be left behind!

Grill in the Garden

Join Bronx-based vegan chef Boyare Quis for a garden side plant-based barbecue. In addition to healthy eats, Grill in the Garden will feature local art and clothing vendors and live music. Vegan Chef Boyare Quis also promises to debut his ebook Overnight Vegan giving insights into adopting a plant-based diet.

Street Tree Care with Super Stewards

Super Stewards, stewards of New York’s green spaces, will host a tree care instruction workshop with Bronxites this Saturday. Volunteers of the NYC Parks Team will train attendees in the nuts and bolts of tree maintenance and community greening. Learn to give back to the New York ecosystem with the Super Stewards!

New York Botanical Gardens: Dig! Plant! Grow! Scent-sational Herbs

Tickets start at $15
New York Botanical Gardens will host an herb informational workshop this Sunday. Attendees–gardening apprentices–will explore the garden’s herbs, learning about their many uses. Then, visitors can get hands-on, potting their own herb plant to take home.

Neverwinter Free Hiking and Cycling Walk and Talk

Neverwinter Hiking and Cycling is hosting another walk and talk this Sunday. Walkers will stroll through Astoria Park in Queens, Randall’s and Ward’s Island and turn to East Harlem. Enjoy the three-borough trail with friends and cardio aficionados. This Sunday’s walk will begin at The Barn Coffee Shop in Queens.
