Bronx Summer Fest Celebrates Season’s End

WHEDco celebrated the end of summer and the beginning of the new school year with Bronx Summer Fest, a local celebration in collaboration with the Children’s Aid Society and NYC Department of Transportation’s Weekend Walks program on Saturday, September 17 and Saturday, September 24. On two consecutive Saturdays, residents enjoyed several activities including a tinkering station with littleBits electronics, electronic creation stations on iPads provided by NYPL Out-of-School Time, marigold planting, arts and crafts, prize giveaways and information on no-cost health insurance plans and mentor/mentee referrals.
