On March 19, the American Heart Association and Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield held a hands-only CPR training. This event was held at the Anthem Blue Cross and Blue Shield Community Service Center in the Bronx.

Trainers played songs that are 100 to 120 beats per minute — the rate to push on the chest during CPR. Also included in the training was an automated external defibrillator. Attendees were taught how to operate this device which should be used when performing CPR.

The training was free and open to the public. Attendees received food and treats during the event.

Attendees were also given a CPR kit which included a Mini Anne CPR personal mannequin, CPR skills instructions and practice DVD in English and Spanish, adult and child CPR skills reminder cards and more.
