Green-Thumb Volunteers

Pelham Bay shop owner John Scanlon of Pelham Bay Home Center is calling on community members to help him grow flowers in planters he built in 2017 to make street trees near his store at St. Theresa and Westchester avenues sparkle. Part of the planters include flowers which Scanlon said aren’t growing as he had hoped.

He is looking for experienced gardeners in the community to volunteer their expertise to make the planters look their best, and in the process beautify a street in Pelham Bay. If you can help, give John a call at (718) 863-7529.
