An affordable housing lottery has been launched for 3056 Decatur Ave., a newly constructed four-story residential building in the Norwood section of the Bronx.

Designed by Node Architecture and developed by Zef Perperpaj, the building features nine residences with three of the units being classified by the city as “affordable.” All three of the affordable units are one-bedroom apartments.

The available units are set aside for households earning 130 percent of the area median income (AMI), with eligible incomes ranging from $82,286 to $181,740. The monthly rent for the one-bedroom apartments is set at $2,400.

Each apartment is equipped with modern features, including name-brand kitchen appliances, energy-efficient systems, air conditioning, smart controls for heating and cooling, and intercoms. Tenants are responsible for covering electricity costs.

Applications for the lottery must be submitted by Sept. 30, 2024. To be considered, prospective renters must meet both income and household size requirements.
