Spring is here, and if you’re looking to add a beautiful bunch of flowers to your home —or, no judgment, maybe you need a late Mother’s Day gift— check out these floral shops around the Bronx that offer fresh blooms at different styles and price points.

Select Roses | East 139th Street and Bruckner Blvd.

Open Monday through Saturday 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Fridays until 6 p.m.; closed Sundays

This Port Morris floral warehouse is a hidden gem. Select Roses is a huge retail and wholesale operation where you can buy large pre-assembled bouquets at very reasonable prices, or go the DIY route by choosing from a ton of different flower stems, greens and add-ons, including special wrapping paper, ribbon, mini balloons or even glitter. When the Bronx Times visited just before Mother’s Day, the shop was well-stocked with tulips, lilies, orchids, hydrangea, sunflowers, eucalyptus leaves, ferns, mums, and of course, roses in all different colors, from traditional red to striking bright blue.

Bella’s Flower Shop | 288 West Fordham Rd.

Open daily 9 a.m. to 6 p.m.

This high-end florist on the corner of West Fordham Rd. and Cedar Ave. offers special presentations that aren’t found at most shops. You can get large, fluffy bouquets in their elegant signature round box, or with layers of tissue paper for a stunning lotus-like wrap around the flowers.

In addition to a variety of fresh and feminine blooms, the shop also sells boxes of preserved roses, which are real flowers treated with wax and guaranteed to last at least a year, even without watering.

Bella’s offers same-day delivery in the Bronx, Manhattan and the surrounding suburbs. While the owner said that 75% their business comes from online and phone orders, you can also walk into the shop and pick out your own perfect gift.

Carolina Flower Shop | 1811 Westchester Ave.

Open Monday through Saturday 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. and Sunday 9 a.m. to 4 p.m.

This cozy Parkchester shop underneath the 6 train, run by Carolina Braulio and her entire family, specializes in large, ready-to-go gift packages with items that they hand–pick and stuff with candies, perfume, stuffed animals, cards, mini balloons and more.

The shop has a variety of pre-made spring bouquets and green plants, including monstera and orchids in addition to the regular blooms, and little bouquets with candy or balloons for those who can’t be trusted to keep plants alive. Carolina’s shop also does large arrangements and displays for birthdays, weddings, funerals and other occasions.
