A housing lottery for 17 affordable units at 2104 Ryer Ave. in the Tremont section of the Bronx is set to close on Thursday, May 22.
The 8-story building includes 55 residences, with 38 offered at market rate. The remaining 17 units are designated for applicants earning up to 130% of the area median income (AMI), with an asset cap of $201,890.

Studios account for four of the units set aside, with a monthly rent of $2,421. No more than two people are allowed to reside within each unit. The combined annual income for prospective renters in each of these units must add up to $90,103-$168,480.
Another four units are one-bedroom, and rent is $2,461 a month. Up to three people can live in each unit, as long as they combine to earn $93,772-$189,540 a year.
The last four units are two-bedroom. The monthly rent is $2,716 a month. As many as five people are permitted to live in the unit. The required annual household income for the two-bedroom units is $107,623-$227,500.

Each unit at 2104 Ryer Ave. has energy-efficient appliances, air-conditioning and high-end countertops and finishes. The building is pet-friendly and also features a shared laundry room, an elevator and covered on-site parking. Additional fees apply for the on-site parking. Tenants are responsible for electricity, including electric stove, heating and hot water.


The property provides residents with easy access to mass transportation. The 182nd Street-183rd Street and Tremont Avenue subway stations, which service the B and D trains, as well as the 183rd Street and Burnside Avenue stations, which each service the 4 train, are both located nearby. There are also bus stops in the area for the Bx1, Bx2, Bx40, Bx41, Bx42 and BxM4 lines.
