On Tuesday, March 3, an interdenominational ceremony was conducted by the 161st Street BID in front of Yankee Stadium in which prayers of peace, justice, and encouragement for Pope Francis to hold Mass at Yankee Stadium during his September stateside visit were offered. Several dozen pre-k students participated in the event alongside members of the New York City clergy.
