A truck fire on the Bruckner Expressway caused traffic delays during the Labor Day Weekend.
According to a FDNY spokesman, a truck erupted into a fireball on Saturday, September 3 at 4:56 a.m. on the Bruckner Expressway and Pelham Parkway.
Police shut down the northbound lane as seven FDNY units and over 30 firefighters responded to the scene at 5:02 a.m.
The lane reopened for traffic at 8 a.m. after the FDNY extinguished the blaze.
No injuries were reported and the cause has been determined as automotive related.
