The blowing of the ‘shofar’, a traditional ram’s horn, by Temple Hatikva cantor Kyle Cherry gave a wake up call to the congregation celebrating Rosh Hashana on Monday, October 3.
The time honored ceremony made the faithful aware that now is the time to repent and prepare for Yom Kippur, the Jewish day of atonement.
Temple Hatikva will host services for Kol Nidre on Tuesday, October 11 at 7:30 p.m., Yom Kippur on Wednesday, October 12 at 10 a.m. followed immediately by Yizkor Memorial Service at noon and Concluding Service at 6 p.m.
