The New York Botanical Garden hosted a media preview of its 17th annual Orchid Show on Thursday, February 21 inside the Enid A. Haupt Conservatory.

Orchids of every shade were a welcomed spring sight.

Developed in partnership with Singapore Botanic Gardens and Gardens by the Bay, this year’s show pays tribute to one of the world’s greatest orchid cultures, with orchid-adorned elements inspired by the arches and supertrees of the island nation’s horticultural attractions.

The show runs until Sunday, April 28.

Yellow orchids are symbols of friendship, joy and new beginnings while purple orchids are representative of admiration, respect, dignity and royalty.
