Lincoln Hospital honored George Rodriguez, Community Advisory Board chairman, for his 50 years of serving the Bronx and NYC on Friday, February 8. Born in Salina, Puerto Rico, George Rodriguez arrived in New York destined to touch the lives of millions, many of whom will never know him personally but whose lives will forever be influenced by his vision, passion, compassion and willingness to serve. At Lincoln he is an icon credited with forcing NYC to open a newly built Lincoln Hospital, desperately needed to include care for the growing Spanish speaking population in the Bronx.
