40th Precinct

Sunday, April 14 at 2:18 p.m. — The NYPD is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying an individual in connection to a robbery. It was reported to cops that inside of a wireless store at 827 Westchester Avenue, the individual initially posed as a customer as he spoke with the 40-year-old female employee before he walked behind the counter, displayed a hypodermic needle and demanded money. The individual took an envelope with money inside it and then removed cash from the register. He fled on foot eastbound on Westchester Avenue with approximately $1,200 in cash. The individual is described as a Hispanic man, 35 to 45 years old, 5’9” tall, with a ponytail. He was last seen wearing a gray hooded sweater with black stripes on the side of its arms, blue jeans and black sneakers. Please see a photo of the individual.

42nd Precinct

Monday, April 1 at 10:00 p.m. — The NYPD is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying the photos seen here that are wanted for questioning in regard to an assault.

Cops got a report that a 44-year-old victim was leaving his apartment in on the 7th floor of a building near East 163rd Street and Trinity Avenue when he was confronted by four unidentified males. During the confrontation, the victim was shot one time in the head before the males fled in an unknown direction. The victim was removed by EMS to an area hospital in stable condition. All of the people wanted for questioning are male blacks in their late twenties. The first person is 6 feet tall and was last seen wearing a black jacket, black hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans. The second person is 5’6” with dreadlocks and was last seen wearing a black hooded sweatshirt and blue jeans. The third person is 5’9” and was last seen wearing a black hooded jacket. The fourth person was 5’9” and last seen wearing a black jacket with patches and dark colored sweatpants.

43rd Precinct

Sunday, April 14 at 11:46 a.m. — The NYPD is asking for the public’s assistance identifying the two males wanted for questioning in connection to an assault.

It was reported to police that in front of 1568 White Plains Road, a 30-year-old male victim was involved in a dispute with another person when he was approached by two unidentified males who assaulted him. One of the males held the victim while the other slashed the victim on the left side of his face with a sharp object before they departed in unknown direction. The victim was removed to Jacobi Hospital in stable condition. One of the people wanted for questioning is a male black last seen wearing a brown jacket with patches, black pants and black sneakers. Another of the people is a male black last seen wearing a white t-shirt, blue pants with stripes on the side.

45th Precinct

Friday, March 29 at 8:57 a.m. — The NYPD is asking for the public’s assistance in identifying an individual in connection to a burglary.

A woman gained entry into a mosque at 1511 St. Peter’s Avenue. Once inside, the individual tried to force open a donation box but was unsuccessful. She fled the location on foot northbound on St. Peters Avenue.

The individual is a dark-skinned female. She was last seen wearing a black knit cap, a black jacket, black pants, black shoes and she had on a black and neon green backpack.

52nd Precinct

Friday, April 12 at 3:30 p.m. — Police responded to a report of an aided male inside of the Bronx Botanical Square. Upon arrival officers discovered an unidentified elderly male floating face down in the Bronx River. Emergency Service Unit personnel removed the male from the water and EMS pronounced the male deceased at the scene. There were no obvious signs of trauma and the Medical Examiner’s Office will determine the cause of death. The investigation is ongoing.
