North Central Bronx Hospital toasted several health professionals at its inaugural Hands and Hearts Gala on Thursday, October 4 at Eastwood Manor Ballroom. This year’s honorees included Susan Papera, Women’s Health Midwife; Chiu Wa Yam, Environmental Services; Paula Brown, Women’s Health Nursing; Christine Williams, Safety director; Carol Weisner, NICU/Nursing; Gloria Bent, director of Weight Management/Healthy Living Programs; Anil Narula, MD, director of surgery; Mark Korsten, MD, FACP, VA Medical Center Residency program director; Paily Baby, MD, director of anesthesia and Councilman Ritchie Torres.
