Police are investigating a potential suicide at Ferry Point Park.
According to police, 45th Precinct police officers responded to a 911 call of a man hanging from a tree in Ferry Point Park near the football field on Wednesday, October 18 at 7:13 a.m.
Upon arrival, police discovered a 55-year-old man unconscious and unresponsive.
EMS responded and pronounced the man dead on arrival.
No arrests have been made in this ongoing investigation.
The medical examiner will determine the cause of death.
The man’s identity is pending proper family notification.
The incident is being investigated as a suicide.
