Police arrested a young woman for slamming her car into a 3-story private home last Friday afternoon.
According to police, the driver Whitney Woodburn, 28, of 899 Irvine Street, was charged for criminal mischief and reckless driving after she crashed her Dodge Dart into the front of 746 E. 227th Street on Friday, September 22 at 3:45 p.m.
Woodburn was the sole occupant inside the vehicle which destroyed a tree in front of the residence before colliding into a first floor apartment’s door, damaging a downspout and crushing a tenant’s bicycle.
No injuries were reported following the incident which remains under investigation.
