Guests were treated to awe-inspiring orchid stilt dancing by the Alice Farley Dance Theatre.

The New York Botanical Garden’s Fiesta de Flores was a ‘blooming success’ with guests on Wednesday, September 20. In honor of Hispanic Heritage Month, the festivities included guided tours of the Rose Garden; live music performed by Ray Martinez’s Cuerda y Tambo and Bombazo Drum Company; an Orchid Stilt Dancing performance by Alice Farley Dance Theatre; live art created by Drawn Together NYC artists; delicious cuisine and beverages provided by Bronx Drafthouse, Cafe la Llave, Chef Flora Montes, Cookies Sweet Treats, Coqui the Chef, Havana Cafe, Pollo Campero, Port Morris Distillery and merchandise provided by Old-Earth Creates by Nanette Sanchez-Velasquez, Olga Ayala Handicrafts (Hecho a Mano)-Functional Art in Polymer and Yarisa Colon Torres. Outgoing Councilwoman Annabel Palma was presented a public service award formally recognizing her commitment to the community.
