Wednesday, August 3, 3:00 a.m. — Cops got a report of three unidentified men entering a private home and robbing a elderly couple at gunpoint. The incident occurred at a home near Evergreen and Wheeler avenues. They found the elderly couple in their bedroom and tied them up with zip ties, with their eyes and hands also duct taped. The three Hispanic men demanded and received money from the couple, and took cell phone and credit cards before they fled.
45 Precinct
Wednesday, August 3, 2:08 a.m. — A murder happened in front of 2231 Glebe Avenue. Cops were summoned to the scene where they found 40-year-old with a gunshot wound to the shoulder. EMS transported the victim to Jacobi Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead.
47 Precinct
Tuesday, July 19, 11:15 a.m. — A forcible touching incident was reported to cops. A 27-year-old woman was a victim as she was walking along East 241st Street and got grabbed from behind. The suspect followed the victim into the vestibule of her residence where he grabbed her again. The suspect is described as a black man with braided hair. He stands about five feet, 9 inches and weights about 170 pounds. He was wearing a white shirt with a blue pattern, along with black pants with white stripes and sunglasses.
Tuesday, August 2, 5:00 p.m. — A 38-year-old male victim reported that as he was standing next to his car door, the operator of a red pick-up truck hit him with his vehicle and then drove a way. After the hit and run, the victim was taken to Jacobi Medical Center where he was in serious condition after the collision.
52 Precinct
Wednesday, July 20 at 8:00 a.m. — Police got a report of stolen pocketbooks at Montefiore Medical Center. A suspect gained entry to a room only for nurses and doctors and reomoved two pocketbooks belonging to two victims. The suspect later used credit cards to make purchases that were not authorized at several stores throughout the borough. Surveillance at a pharmacy at 1041 Westchester Avenue got a picture of the suspect. She is a black woman, with a medium complexion and long black hair. She was last seen wearing sunglasses, a red sleeveless shirt and red pants.
