Twenty-five Bronx artists received an award recognizing artistic excellence in the annual Bronx Recognizes Its Own grant award ceremony on Wednesday, June 1 at the Longwood Art Gallery. Sponsored by the Bronx Council on the Arts, each BRIO Award recipient earned a $3,000 grant to fund their creative ventures. The event served as an opening reception to the ‘BRIO IV – Material, Culture + Conditions’ exhibition which will be displayed at the gallery until Wednesday, August 3.
