The Bronx Academy of Arts and Dances presented the final two performances of Okuwi Okpokwasili’s Bessie Award winning ‘Bronx Gothic’, a visual masterpiece inspired by Victorian-era novels and West African griot storytelling revealing a dark and power Bronx tale of sexual awakening; the body in transformation and the humor, love, strangeness and terror that accompany it. The final showing was held on Saturday, April 30 at BAAD’s 2474 Westchester Avenue location.
