The Soundview Community Drug Free Coalition held its monthly meeting on Tuesday, March 8 at the Soundview/Phipps Community Center to discuss the local group’s current progress and future plans. This was the last meeting held prior to SCDFC’s application filing deadline with the Substance Abuse and Mental Health Services Administration for official designation as a drug free coalition. If successful, SCDFC will receive a $125,000 per year grant for the next five years to aid them in their mission to rid the community of illegal drugs.
