Promoting peace in our homes and communities since 2010, Peace December held a Tuesday, December 1 awards ceremony commemorating the life and vision of civil rights activists Claudette Colvin and the late Rosa Parks. Featured guest speaker, District Attorney Darcel Clark honored Colvin, an African-American Civil Rights Movement pioneer who was arrested for resisting bus segregation in Montgomery, Alabama nine months prior to Park’s similar protest.
