St. Raymond Elementary School fourth and fifth graders had a once in a lifetime opportunity to see and handle authentic 3,000-year-old Roman artifacts when Marisa Horowitz-Jaffe, Museums with Marisa founder, presented her Discovering Ancient Rome! workshop on Tuesday, April 16 inside the school’s main library. Horowitz-Jaffe, an archaeologist and museum educator, discussed the Forum, the Colosseum, Roman temples and the empire’s lesser known buildings.

Students used magnifying glasses to observe inscriptions and details on Roman artifacts.
