To honor the heroism of our soldiers serving in Afghanistan and Iraq, the Social Studies Department of St. Catharine Academy spearheaded a project called “Because We Care”.
Beginning on February 1st and lasting until February 11th, the goal was to collect food, entertainment and personal care items needed by our troops.The entire student body, as well as members of the factulty and staff participated in this endeavor.
Boxes were placed in homerooms to facilitate the effort.The students felt that it was their way of acknowledging the sacrifices our troops are making and acts as a reminder that they are not forgotten.
