Samuel Young Legion Post 620

Hello all!

A cancer walk is being held Sunday, April 26 and my Boosters are looking for sponsors to help out. You see, Boosters Pete and Jo-Ann Ziesel have a 7-year old daughter undergoing chemo at NY Presbyterian Hospital for brain cancer. Any help will surely be appreciated by the parents, boosters and the post. “Team Maddie” T-shirts are going on sale at all the watering holes in the Pelham Bay and Throggs Neck area. So let’s help out seven year old Madeline and her folks.

By the time you read this, we, at the post will have held our Book Sale, the proceeds of which are going to the purchase of stuff for our adopted platoon. We got another two bags of goodies from Cathy Praino last week. Thanks again CP.

Remember the flea market being held by the Westchester Corners Kiwanis here on our Great Lawn on Saturday, May 2. Rain Date is Sunday the 3rd. This starts at 10:30 a.m. and goes until 3 p.m. Come on by and buy something, they’re making a donation to the funding of our adopted platoon.
