Preston High School last month welcomed rising seventh and eighth graders from across the Bronx to its summer P.R.E.P. program.
The students undertook a three-week course in which they worked on comprehensive coursework in reading and math while also exploring new interests. The coursework was designed to improve the required skills for the Test for Admission into Catholic High Schools (TACHS).
The PREPsters also worked on art projects, performed science experiments, learned the basics of the Italian language, explored history and much more.
In addition to preparing the students for the TACHS exam, the curriculum encouraged them to explore diverse passions and potential career interests.
