Rising Preston High School junior Iris Rodriguez spent four weeks of her summer as an intern in the Kings County District Attorney’s Office.
During her time there, she immersed herself in the challenges and opportunities of the legal profession. All interns participated in the Moot Trial Competition, and Iris’ team became the champions as they exemplified their ability to apply legal knowledge and displayed seamless argumentation.
At Preston High School, Iris is the Founder and President of the Future Lawyers Club, and an active member of the Student Council, Italian and National Honor Societies and the Preston Players. Beyond high school and college, Iris aspires to become a prosecutor and work in the same community she grew up in.
