Police Put Brakes On Reckless Driver

Police have arrested a reckless driver who damaged a munimeter in Morris Park. According to police, 49th Precinct police officers responded to a vehicle accident on Saturday, June 8 at 4:18 p.m. in front of 768 Morris Park Avenue. Upon arrival, police discovered a single vehicle accident involving a 2016 black Dodge Charger. Ammar Yahya, a 19-year-old Brooklyn resident, was allegedly operating the vehicle recklessly when he lost control and drove onto the sidewalk and struck a munimeter at the location. Yahya was arrested and charged with reckless endangerment in the first degree, criminal mischief in the third degree, reckless endangerment in the second degree and reckless driving.
