Sunday, September 10 at 12:30 a.m. — A rape and robbery was reported inside an apartment building located near East Tremont and Thieriot avenues. An individual, described as a black man with a medium build, entered a 28-year-old woman’s third floor apartment through her bedroom widow. He had a gun with a light attached to it. He demanded money. After giving the individual $400 in cash, she was forcibly raped. The victim was taken to Jacobi Medical Center via EMS where she was treated and released. The individual was last seen wearing a green T-shirt and faded blue jeans.
Monday, August 28 at 10:40 p.m. — Cops got a 911 call of shots fired near St.Peters and Tratman avenues. Two individuals were seen leaving the scene of the crime on foot. They are both adult black men, according to descriptions, one with a light complexion and another with a dark complexion. One was seen wearing a camouflage pants, a white T-shirt, white sneakers and a black baseball cap. A second individual wore brown shoes, blue jeans and a black jacket.
Thursday, August 31 at 6:20 p.m. — Two unidentified individuals approached a 61-year-old man in the lobby of a building near West Tremont and Harrison avenues and robbed him. They snatched two chains from his neck before fleeing. Both were black men. One had a slim build and was last seen wearing a red T-shirt and dark pants with black and white sneakers. The second was last seen wearing a black T-shirt with the word RAW in white letters.
Saturday, September 16 at 10:45 p.m. — Three people approached an 18-year-old man inside of the lobby of an apartment building in the Pelham Parkway community and demanded property. In the middle of the robbery, they showed him a shotgun and then shot the victim’s arm. Nothing was taken. The victim went by private transportation to an area hospital for treatment.
Tuesday, August 31 at 4:22 a.m. – A burglary was reported to precinct cops. A man who had a cast on his arm and a woman entered the front door of a restaurant at 2431 Jerome Avenue. They stole $327 and several credit card receipts from inside.
