Permits have been filed for the construction of a 5-story mixed-use building between East 201st Street and Bedford Park Boulevard in the Fordham neighborhood of the Bronx.
The permits call for a 56-foot-tall building yielding 15,096 square feet at 2951 Briggs Ave. The vast majority of the building would be used for housing units, with 13,396 square feet designated for residential space compared to the 1,700 square feet designated for commercial space.
Under the current proposal, the building would have 20 residences. The average unit size would be 669 square feet, indicating that the development would be a rental property.
The building would not come with accessory parking for would-be residents. The site is located within close proximity to the Bedford Park Boulevard subway station, which services the B and D trains.
Demolition permits have not yet been filed for 2951 Briggs Ave. An estimated completion date has not been provided either.
The owner behind the applications is listed as Bikramjit Singh of Superior Energy Corp., while King David Architecture is listed as the architect of record.
