This event provided families with the opportunity to strengthen their bonds while also seeing what games were the most compatible for them. Additionally, the game day allowed for attendees to build bridges and break down barriers among each other by playing games together.

Many of those in attendance mentioned just how important an event like this is to them during the holiday season. It helped bring fun and joy to them during a time when some people have sad memories on their mind.

For Young Kings and Queens Chess Club Founder and Teacher Mr. Romeo, this event allowed for a special family reunion. He got to see his son for the first time in a decade at the event, as well as his granddaughter for the first time since she was three years old. Mr. Romeo’s son and granddaughter ended up playing chess together.
