Multi-Car Collision In Allerton

Police responded to a multi-car collision in Allerton over the weekend. According to a NYPD spokesman, 49th Precinct police responded to a vehicle collision at the intersection of Burke and Laconia avenues on Saturday, May 6 at 10:03 a.m. A 37-year-old man stated to police that he was driving his 2007 Chevrolet Sedan eastbound on Burke Avenue when a pedestrian ran in front causing him to swerve and strike a parked vehicle. The impact caused the parked car to strike two other parked cars.

A total of four vehicles were damaged in the collision. Police confirmed the parked vehicles were unoccupied at the time of the incident. The driver, whose name was not released, was transported by EMS to Jacobi Medical Center and is in stable condition after complaining of chest and ankle injuries. Photo by Edwin Soto
