Man Arrested For Highbridge Shootings

A suspect has been arrested in connection with the shooting of two men in Highbridge last week.

According to a NYPD spokesman, police arrested Francis Lopez, 18, of 2525 Aqueduct Avenue, for allegedly shooting two men at West 170th Street and Ogden Avenue on Tuesday, August 8 at 5:54 p.m.

Lopez allegedly shot a 25-year-old man in his left jaw and a 17-year-old in his right foot.

The 25-year-old man was transported to Lincoln Hospital while the 17-year-old received treatment at St. Barnabas Hospital.

Lopez faces charges of attempted criminally negligent homicide, assault with intent to cause serious injury with a weapon, criminal use of a firearm, criminal possession of a weapon and reckless endangerment.
