King hosts missing children press conference

Councilman Andy King held a press conference in front of 1086 Simpson Street, a substation of the 41st Precinct, on Wednesday, July 27 to announce the formation of ‘Safe Haven Zones, further discussion on the large number of teenage girls that go missing every year and to aid the family of 16-year-old Ashley Bissal who has been missing since Thursday, June 23. According to Bissal’s father Ravi, his daughter, a Bronx High School of Business student, was last seen attending a graduation for a school friend at the New York Botanical Garden. The case was transferred to Missing Children Squad in Manhattan about a month ago.
