Fatal Fire In Castle Hill Injures Three

An early Tuesday morning fire has left three injured and one dead in Castle Hill. Firefighters combated an apartment fire at 2258 Newbold Avenue on Tuesday, April 4 at 6 a.m. According to the FDNY, the fire started inside a first floor unit. The blaze was extinguished in a hour, but resulted in three adults suffering minor injuries. Homeowner Hazel Sullivan’s English Pitbull Terrier Mix was trapped inside the building and perished.
