A Bronx cultural, musical expose is coming and it’s going to be absolutely electric. Escape2NY and the Bronx Brewery are partnering up to create ‘Underground Live,’ a concert series that will be bumping in both the Bronx and Brooklyn this summer.
The first show in the lineup featured a mega-lineup of local hip-hop and fellow musicians at 988 Decatur Street in Brooklyn on Saturday, July 13.
“Escape2NY is a group that holds passion for talent. Surrounded by the undiscovered they want to create a home for those who deserve to be heard,” said Escape2NY creator Jalen Andux.
That noted passion has been reflected in the event organizer’s previous shows, like its springtime concert series on Saturday, May 25.
“Joining forces is key to making art happen everywhere and for all,” Andux said.
“[Artists] always hold onto their mission in which art, community building purposes and social responsibility should always be the central values, he continued.
After the ‘live launch,’ the brewery will be hosting an art expo that’s connected to ‘Underground Live’ on Saturday, August 24 in addition to more upcoming galleries, expos and concerts throughout the summer months.
“From musicians to visual artists, Escape2NY provides a platform for every talent to be seen,” the Throggs Neck resident said.
