EMS saved an emotionally disturbed man from harming himself and potentially others in Pelham Bay. According to police, 45th Precinct police officers responded to a call of a male acting erratically inside of 3004 Middletown Road on Thursday, June 27 at 12:45 p.m. Police confirmed a 41-year-old man was behaving violently by breaking the window and throwing items outside. He was discovered with what appeared to be self-inflicted wounds to his head. EMS responded and the aided male was transported to Jacobi Hospital for evaluation and treatment. Police stated that the man’s mother called 911.
